The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed in regards to the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is sassa to reach-out to your high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue produced for intervention encounters a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to permit the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
